Uzumaki is a four-episode anime series based on the Uzumaki manga. It is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama and produced by Production I.G and Williams Street. Colin Stetson composes the music.

The anime was announced in 2019 at Crunchyroll Expo and is scheduled to air in 2020. It has been stated that the COVID-19 pandemic did not have an effect on the production[1]. Junji Ito has praised the creators and the anime itself, saying that "the manga is monochrome, only black and white, and they wanted to recreate it that way out of respect for the original, which made me very happy"[2]. He also called the director "quite talented"[2].
